Project acorn is an open source project to promote the use of acorns, and to stimulate the planting of oak trees that have multiple benefits for both human and nature.
As long as humans have walked the earth, oak trees have had an important role on our day to day lives.

Several authors and scientists, suggest that the gathering of acorns-the nuts produced by the oak tree- was an important activity in moderate climates, before the first agricultural settlements.
With #ProjectAcorn, we gather information on the edible use of acorns in our modern day society.
Our goal is very simple: The more we eat acorns, the more we plant oak trees. These trees will provide shelter and food for animals and hundreds of insects, compensate CO2 emissions, and cool down our planet earth.
